I have never watched an episode of Girl Code but I just have this feeling it’d make my blood pressure skyrocket

Benedict Cumberbatch is a real sweetheart and it kinda sucks to see people shitting all over him for his unorthodox name and making fun of his face
You know, the two things he’s most insecure about
I don’t care what fandom you’re in or not in or if you hate fandom bloggers just can you not bully this man he has literally done nothing to deserve it except exist
preach it. AMEN
If you want to complain about something he said or did, that’s different, but making fun of Benedict’s appearance sits very badly with me.
Even though he’s probably not going to pout in his Cheerios over some random person calling him ugly*, fandom stuff does spill over to the media. Every interviewer brings up 1) his ~funny~ name and 2) the term “Cumberbitches.” (Two things that make him uncomfortable.) Where did all of that start? Yeah, on Tumblr.
He’s not perfect by any means, but he’s still a dude who has actual issues about his face. It’s just such a personal thing to critique about him. Using the excuse “I can make fun of how they look because I don’t like them” is harsh, whether or not the person is a celebrity.
* Even this can be debated, since he has browsed his Tumblr tag.
(Speaking of “Cumberbitches,” can I just say I hate it when people insist that he’s setting back feminism when he talks about how much he dislikes that term because he finds it derogatory? Like, use it if you want, but please, calling a man a bad feminist for being uncomfortable about the word “bitch,” especially when used in a possessive manner, is the most ridiculous thing)
*beware this blogger is a sensitive ladies of bbc sherlock stan and will not tolerate your negativity*

The trick is to not let people know how really weird you are until it’s too late for them to back out.
An exotic creature from an alien world.
I’d like to point out that if you go along with a costume group in which people are blackfacing or brownfacing then you are part of the problem.
